HOW TO USE THE
GAS FIREPLACES
SANDERLIN GAS LIVING ROOM FIREPLACE
IF pilot lite is not on. Follow 1 to 6.
IF the pilot lite is on, skip to line 6.
Turn on the gas supply. Turn the silver gas line key located to the right side of the hearth all the way to the left to open the gas line to the starter.
Light the pilot light. Pushe the ignition knob while turning to the left to the ignite position
Release the knob
Light and using the provided long stemmed lighter, hold the flame to the pilot light opening on the thermocoupler, you should hear the gas hissing, continue holding the flame to the coupler for 1 min.
Turn the knob to the off position. The pilot light should stay on.
To turn on the fireplace, please rotate the know slowly to the right.
The pilot light will remain lit as the fireplace is on. Please turn off the fireplace when not home, present in the room or when not using. You may keep the pilot lit on. Just remember to turn off the fire.

IF the pilot lite is on, skip to line 4.
If you cannot find the plastic cards for the fire place on the hearth. Do the following.
Locate the sparker ignition button on the lower left side of the firelogs inside the fireplace.
Locate the on knob that is located to the right of the fireplace, lower right, hidden slightly behind the firelog.
Push the small rubber button on the lower left inside the fire place on the left side of the logs. You will hear the sparker start ( its a snapping sound)
Push in on the knob for the gas on the right side. You should see the pilot light start with a small blue flame. Release the gas knob now.
Turn the knob left to turn on.
The knob has five settings. 1 to 5.
The higher the number the longer the fire stays on. The fireplace is temp controlled. IF the room begins to heat above a certain temp, the fireplace will turn off. When the room begins to cool, it will come back on. Its all automatic. Please DO NOT TURN the gas off at anytime.
